General Information
What is City to City Africa?
City to City Africa is an affiliate of Redeemer City to City that focuses on serving gospel movements in major African cities. The organization helps local leaders plant churches and develop city networks by recruiting, training, and coaching national church planters across the continent.
What is the vision of City to City Africa?
Our vision is to see the planting of highly contextualized, gospel-centered churches in the cities of Africa. We aim to foster a world-changing, city-renewing global church that complements existing networks.
Which cities does City to City Africa operate in?
The organization works in major cities across the continent, including but not limited to Johannesburg, Dakar, Abidjan, Accra, Lagos, Kinshasa, Addis Ababa, Nairobi, Kampala, and Kigali.
Is City to City Africa affiliated with Tim Keller?
Yes. City to City was co-founded and chaired by Tim Keller. City to City Africa was birthed from Redeemer City to City in New York and shares its vision for urban ministry.

Who is the training for?
The training is designed for pastors, church planters, and ministry leaders who want to build and grow healthy churches and join a network of support.
What kind of training programs are available?
City to City Africa offers a few core programs:
- Gospel in the City — a foundational course on our urban-ministry philosophy.
- Intensives — focused training periods for church planters, in English and French.
- Coaching & Mentoring — ongoing relational support to help leaders navigate the difficulties of ministry.
